| Recycling Options in Interior Alaska
Mixed Paper Recycling
The January 2007 fire at the Eielsons pellet-making plant has put the NSF Borough paper recycling program on hold. The FNS Borough has an agreement with the Air Force, set to expire in 2009, where paper collected at the landfill was transferred the base and converted into fuel pellets. This was a very popular program. Until future notice all paper delivered to the landfill will not be stored or recycled until future notice.
